To those who work these days, I salute you. I know it’s not easy to sacrifice the time most people spend with family, sleeping in, running around like a bat out of sheol or otherwise wasting it in order that you can get a little bigger paycheck, or parlay it into leverage at New Year’s.
Most people work these jobs en route to something different, something better. May you find your different better so that you can do whatever you’d like on Christmas Eve instead of dealing with chumps like me at the counter.
Wishes for a happy Christmas to you all. As always, thank you for reading and supporting the blog. Be back tomorrow with the annual Christmas post.
Dispatches from the Bread Line are week-daily blog posts until I’m employed again.
